Activist and politician Aisha Yesufu has described the 2027 general election as a crucial battle for Nigerians, saying the country’s future and survival would be at stake.
Yesufu stated that Nigerians would be fighting for their lives and the soul of the nation during the next electoral process.
In a post on X, the outspoken activist urged citizens not to remain passive observers, warning that inaction could make people vulnerable to the consequences of poor leadership.
“Let me repeat, the 2027 election is WAR!!! Nigerians are fighting for their lives and the soul of Nigeria,” she wrote.
She stressed that citizens must take a stand, noting that those who ignore unfolding events today could become victims tomorrow.
“Yesterday’s victims were once survivors, today’s victims were yesterday’s survivors, and tomorrow’s victims will be today’s survivors. Who is next?” she added.
Yesufu further advised Nigerians to always stand on the side of truth and justice, saying such a position may not always attract popularity but would guarantee peace of mind and the ability to defend one’s actions when questioned.
