1. The Presidency on Sunday dispelled the rumour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s illness. Thus followed by a report by the International Centre for Investigative Reporting, ICIR alleging that preparations were underway by the president’s medical team to potentially fly him abroad for urgent medical attention.

3. A corps member, Rita Uguamaye, on Sunday stirred fresh controversy after alleging that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) withheld her discharge certificate despite completing her service year. Uguamaye, popularly known as Raye, served in Lagos State and first drew public attention when a video she posted on TikTok criticizing President Bola Tinubu’s administration went viral.

4. Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has dropped some commisioners and special advisers from the State Executive Council. The Secretary to the Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, said the sack was with immediate effect. The affected commissioners and special advisers are to hand over to the Permanent Secretary or the most senior civil servant in their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

5. The Middle Belt Forum, MBF, has said former presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi, is a man of integrity and can be trusted to keep his promise to do a single term if elected president of the country in 2027. The Forum maintained that as a man of honour, the Middle Belt believed the former Anambra State governor would keep his words to the letter because of his integrity.

6. Hoodlums armed with cutlasses have attacked a truck driver, Dallami Yunusa, at Ogi Junction in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State, leaving him injured before setting his vehicle ablaze. The Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Heavy Truck Unit in Okigwe, Dahiru Musa Raza, confirmed the incident to Daily Trust on Sunday.
