Manchester City striker Erling Haaland on Saturday reached 300 club career goals faster than Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappe.
The Norway international scored the 300th goal of his club career as Manchester City defeated Coventry City 1-0 to remain at the top of the Premier League table.
Haaland has scored his 300 club goals during spells with Molde, Red Bull Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City.
According to ESPN, the 26-year-old reached the milestone in just 384 appearances.
Haaland was, however, slightly slower than Argentina legend Lionel Messi, who reached 300 club career goals in 365 appearances.
The Manchester City forward, however, outpaced Mbappe, who reached the milestone in 398 appearances, and Ronaldo, who scored his 300th club career goal after 499 appearances.
Speaking after Manchester City’s victory over Coventry, Haaland admitted that he should have scored more goals to put the game beyond the visitors.
“I should’ve scored more goals to finish the game off, but I didn’t,” Haaland said.
“So, I made it difficult for the team and managed to keep Coventry in the game until the end.”
