Wike: You’ll get lawsuit – Rufai Oseni, Abati clash on live TV[VIDEO]

Arise TV’s Morning Show hosts, Reuben Abati and Rufai Oseni, clashed during Thursday’s programme following comments by Oseni concerning the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Sandy Onor.

The disagreement followed discussions on a trending video of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, in which he said he would deliver the FCT and Rivers State to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 presidential election.

Reacting to Wike’s comment, Oseni criticised the FCT minister for openly backing Tinubu despite remaining a national leader of the PDP.

He questioned why Wike would support the APC presidential candidate rather than the candidate of his own party ahead of the 2027 election.

Oseni further alleged that the PDP presidential candidate had been made a “Gbewudani”, a term he explained as meaning “hold my clothes.”

Abati, however, quickly cautioned his co-host against making comments that could be considered defamatory.

“You will get a lawsuit. The issue is the ‘Gbewudani’; you cannot damage the integrity of people,” Abati warned.

Oseni dismissed the warning, insisting that Wike’s position amounted to making a mockery of the PDP presidential candidate.

“You cannot say that there is a PDP candidate and you are openly saying that you are going to support Tinubu. That means you are making a mockery of the PDP candidate,” Rufai said.

The exchange between the two hosts highlighted the growing political tensions within the PDP as parties and politicians position themselves ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
