Manchester City has confirmed that outgoing manager Pep Guardiola will remain connected to the City Football Group as a global ambassador following his exit from the club.
The new appointment comes after Guardiola decided to step down as manager of the Premier League champions after spending 10 years in charge of the first team.
In his new position, the 55-year-old will provide technical guidance to clubs under the City Football Group umbrella while also contributing to special projects and collaborations across the organization.
Guardiola leaves the Etihad as the club’s longest-serving manager, surpassing Les McDowall ahead of his 593rd and final match against Aston Villa on Sunday.
During his decade-long spell at Manchester City, Guardiola guided the club to 20 major trophies, including six Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League crown in 2023.
