Nigerian music star Omah Lay has declared that he is on track to become the wealthiest artist in Africa within the next few years.
Speaking during a recent interview with Kiss Xtra, the 28-year-old singer expressed confidence in his talent and long-term vision, noting that his ambitions go beyond music.
According to him, his creative drive is essential to his well-being, as he revealed a deep passion for making art and building impactful systems.
“I am crazy. My head is not correct. I need to create art to feel good. I am going to be the wealthiest African artiste ever in a few years. I am going to build stuff that would change the world,” he said.
The singer also highlighted some of the global and African stars who have influenced his musical journey, naming Wizkid, Burna Boy, Drake, The Weeknd, and Harry Styles as his idols.
“I have my idols. Wizkid, Burna Boy, Drake, The Weeknd, and Harry Styles are my idols. These are people I look up to musically,” he added.
