Players of Bayern Munich have shared their reactions following the club’s dramatic UEFA Champions League quarter-final victory over Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
The German giants secured a 4-3 win in the second leg, eliminating the Spanish side with a 6-4 aggregate score to book a place in the semi-finals. Vincent Kompany’s men will now face Paris Saint-Germain later this month.
Reacting to the result, Bayern midfielder Michael Olise described the encounter as an intense contest. Speaking to TNT Sports, Olise said it was a “good, back-and-forth match,” noting that Bayern improved after a chaotic start and showed resilience to secure the win.
Striker Harry Kane also acknowledged the difficulty of facing Madrid, highlighting the Spanish club’s pedigree in the competition. He said Bayern had to perform at the highest level to overcome their opponents.
Midfielder Joshua Kimmich admitted the team did not begin the game strongly but credited their composure and belief after half-time, which ultimately helped them see out the victory.
