The family of Nollywood veteran actor Pete Edochie has dismissed rumors circulating on social media claiming that the legendary actor is dead.
Reacting to the reports, Pete Edochie’s eldest son, Leo Edochie, described the claims as false and malicious. He addressed the issue in a video shared on his Instagram page, where he condemned the rumor in strong terms.
Leo revealed that he had received numerous calls and messages concerning the viral post, stressing that his father is very much alive. He stated that the report of Pete Edochie’s death was “a lie from the pit of hell.”
According to him, the veteran actor is alive, healthy, and in good spirits. He also criticized those spreading such information, warning against wishing death on others.
“Our father is alive, hale, and hearty,” Leo said, adding that those behind the rumor should be ashamed of spreading falsehoods.
The video has since gained widespread attention online as fans and colleagues react to the clarification.
